Accesso, LLC, - Independent Contractor, Jan 2017 – Apr 2018

Accesso is a premier technology solution provider in the queuing, ticketing and POS market, based in Lake Mary, FL.

  Developed a front-end application for Accesso's updated kiosk based ticketing system for their client, Merlin Entertainment, to support Merlin's London based attractions, The London Eye, Madame Tussaud's, Sea Life, and others. This development was initially as part of a two-man team but completed as the sole developer. This Apache Flex based application connected to Accesso's existing Passport POS and reservation system through a separately developed Java middle tier. The success of the application strongly influenced Merlin Entertainment's continued partnership with Accesso, including supplemental contracts for development and inclusion of additional attractions and venues.

Managed an internal software development team dedicated to business application development while continuing development on several high profile projects.

  Managed an internal development team which oversaw the development and maintenance of over 40 new and legacy applications Responsible for all aspects of operations including hiring, employee reviews and project assignments.

  Developer on core algorithm module for sales forecasting application credited with reducing written PO's by 15% over its initial first year without a reduction in written sales. Coordinated directly with outside enterprise data warehouse for sales data processing and aggregation.

  Architected and developed a client-server suite of applications and tools to replace existing in-store paper product sheets with Android based digital displays, including dynamic pricing updates. Estimated to eliminate 250k in costs per quarter.

  Architected, developed and managed mobile software used by over 120 outside service technicians while performing in-home customer service repair calls.

  Architected an array of tools to manage the company's image acquisition for new product, from managing photo studio requests all the way through use in customer facing applications and in-store display purposes.

  Architected and developed a dedicated application framework used as the core for all new project development. This framework significantly reduced application development completion time by centralizing all common development needs into a single code library, such as permission handling and error tracking and notification.

Hydrogen Media was one of the first Dotcom development companies in the US that grew from 30 employees to 176 employees over the course of one year, including three satellite offices, before the crash.

Began as one of three developers. Instrumental in helping the company shift brand and grow into a national, multi-million dollar corporation.

•  Managed a team of over 30 developers. Responsible for all aspects of operations including hiring, scheduling and project assignments.

•  Technical liaison for the Customer Services department. Duties included meeting clients and translating customer needs into workable design specifications for project execution.

•  ColdFusion training to transition developers from other web languages.

Dynacs Engineering, I-Net, NASA Kennedy Space Center

Web Application and Multimedia Developer

Dynacs Engineering and I-Net were contracting companies awarded Engineering Support contracts for NASA's Kennedy Space Center.

Joined the Multimedia Lab as a 3D modeler and animator before transitioning over to interactive and web development. Supported the Center Director's office with a primary focus on eLearning and online training.

•  Sole developer on all web application projects including database architecture.

•  Architected and developed NASA's Web Interactive Training (WIT) LMS application for online employee safety training courseware, which guided early eLearning standards including SCORM for the Department of Defense.

•  Produced 3D animation, graphic and UI design for various multimedia projects.

Accomplishments and Highlights

 

  Worked with Rooms-To-Go warehouse executives to develop a set of sales forecasting algorithms that saved several hundred million dollars over the first year of implementation.

  Developed a product image request process for RTG's merchandising department and photography studio that cut process time from 14 to 4 days.

  Introduced RTG to Adobe Flex and Android development.

  Instrumental in restructuring and improving RTG's digital asset management capabilities.

  Designed and developed RTG's employee survey system.

  Designed and developed digital pricing information displays and management tools for RTG.

 

  Developed the LeapFrog.com consumer website.

  Developed the LeapFrog.com customer service phone ordering application.

 

  Transitioned Hydrogen Media, Inc. to enterprise level development processes and standards while growing the development department from 3 to 30 employees.
